This role encompasses being a Pre-Sales contributing to the Bids and presales team's output for EMEA. The candidate use his ability to convey technical value to assist our customers, partners, internal sales force and bid team. He supports in the development of customer solution sales providing product and solution expertise on documents and identity systems solutions during the sales and bid process. The candidate must exhibit expertise to prepare technical proposal packages, covering the architecture, technical, deployment and bill of material aspects of the offer, for large and complex projects that involve system integration.

The candidate needs to be able to interpret complex customer requirements and work closely with bid manager, product managers, systems teams, credential team, delivery and supply chain, to offer solutions that maximize profitability and add value for the customer.

What You Will Do:

  • Understanding Customer Needs : must engage in discussions with potential customers to gather requirements, identify pain points, challenges, objectives.

  • Product Knowledge : have an in-depth understanding of the products or services offered by HID ( features, functionalities, benefits, and limitations) and be able to link customer requirements to our product as well as partners portfolio.

  • Customization and Solution Design : be able to tailor our solution to fit the specific needs of customers. The Presales engineer shall collaborate with product and solution teams to customize our offerings or propose thirds party products to address customer requirements.

  • Demonstrations and Presentations : conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase how HID’s offerings to customer and add value to their business. These presentations may be done in-person.

  • Proposal Creation : assist in creating proposals, including first level architecture, solution and IT equipment sizing, costing, service level agreements (SLAs) definition. The Pre Sales engineer ensures that proposals align with the customer's requirements and company capabilities.

  • Technical Expertise : need to possess technical expertise and knowledge in software development, IT infrastructure, networking, deployment organization, personalization solutions, secure documents or other technical domains.

  • Relationship Building : build and maintain relationships with customers, sales, bid managers, solution teams.

  • Supporting the Bid and Sales Team : work closely with the Bid and Sales team, providing them with the necessary resources, information, and support to close deals successfully. He may accompany sales and bid representatives to meetings with potential customers to provide technical expertise and answer specific questions.

  • Continuous Learning : Given the rapidly evolving nature of technology and business, Pre Sales engineer must continuously update his knowledge and skills to stay up to date to the technology evolution

    Qualifications

    What You Will Need:

  • University graduate Meng, MSc degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a similiar role

  • Must have strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Good technical background, able to transcript technical requirements into high level architecture

  • At least 2 years of experience in government solution design, delivery, installation, architecture or service orientated business, card/passport business, Identity Solutions.

  • Experience describing technical solution in writing

  • Ability to work as part of a globally distributed team.

    Language Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages will be a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

    Computer Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.

  • Additional Knowledge of the following software would be an advantage:

  • Salesforce

  • Sharepoint

  • Oracle, Jira, Confluence
