Your day at NTT DATA

Within the current Accounting team, consisting of 4 colleagues, we are looking for an enthusiastic, independent, seasoned and result driven Senior Financial Accountant to manage and professionalize the internal and external audit process and ensure to be compliant.

The Accounting team is part of the Finance community within NTT NL, which consist of 25 experts focusing on Legal, Business Control, Data analytics, Contract management, Bidmanagement and Process Excellence who oversee the recent O2C outsourced activities.

What you'll be doing

As a Snr. Financial Accountant with a background in Tax and experience with M&A, you will be responsible for assembling the annual audit information for external auditors and coordinate the implementation of effective controls, including systems reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of reported figures.

In addition you are responsible for:

  • Acting as a partner in the accounting process, recommend how to improve efficiency

  • Regular reviews of tax calculations and reports to ensure compliance including determining and managing sales tax compliance.

  • Processing month-end activities which include the preparation and processing of month-end journal entries

  • Advising in cash management and Treasury related activities based on previous experience

  • Analyzing journals, produce data analysis and reports and assist with variance analysis.

  • Assemble the annual audit information for external auditors.

  • Work closely with the outsourced service provider to support the level of service being provided to the NL organization in line with expectations and the needs of our front-end communities and clients and provide necessary coaching and support to achieve those outcomes.

  • Conduct monthly Balance sheet reviews with EU and Group Finance

  • Report to and cooperate with external stakeholders in an independent, timely and accurate manner

  • Acting as the right hand of the CFO and coach colleagues based on your accounting knowledge for continues improvement purposes.

What will make you a good fit for the role?

  • Master degree in accounting, tax or related field (RA preferred)

  • Extensive corporate/partnership tax knowledge

  • Extensive experience in ledger accounting and financial reporting in both IFRS and Dutch GAAP

  • Minimum of about 7+ years’ post degree experience working in the field in a similar role, preferably within an ICT services organization

  • Preferred previous experience working on cross border M&A projects from an Valuation, Tax and system integration perspective

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Curious by nature and pro-active attitude

  • High level of drive and ability to work under pressure

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once.

  • An assertive persuasive team player, with the ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships with a variety of stakeholders, both business, auditors and technical teams across the NTT organization and externally

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
