Edwards Lifesciences Field Clinical Specialist, TMTT in Barcelona, Spain

Edwards is offering a Field Clinical Specialist job opportunity within our Business Unit (product portfolio) – Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies (TMTTs). TMTTs are the future of Edwards – Estimated to be a more than $3 billion opportunity by 2024, Edwards will discuss its multiple transcatheter programs aimed at transforming care for the many patients suffering from mitral and tricuspid regurgitation. Edwards plans to launch one transformational therapy in Europe each year led by its CARDIOBAND and PASCAL programs.

Successful candidate will be providing clinical support during cases and expertise and clinical insights on the PASCAL device, procedure, and protocol throughout the life cycle of the clinical investigation.

How you will make an impact:

• Provide education on all aspects of the device: device handling, implantation and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, tools and products required for device implants including full certification for independent case support in the hospitals.

• Throughout commercial procedures in Pascal cases, provide physicians and medical staff with required follow-up support to ensure continuity of education and technical support related to all aspects of patient outcome to ensure the interventions success.

• Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on technical matters related to products and procedures through conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs.

• Build and manage strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, referrers, surgeons, KOL’s, proctors and other influencers in assigned region to push Edwards positioning in the market utilizing creativity and influencing skills with new or existing customers on buying decisions using tact and diplomacy.

• Develop and continuously improve training curriculum, training materials and training tools, based on clinical trial experience, EW guidelines and SOP.

• Plan and implement growth strategies within focused accounts in partnership with the Sales and Sales Management.

• Learns the product(s), physiology, anatomy, applications of the market and Edwards Lifesciences

• Other incidental duties.

What you will need:

•Minimum of 1 year of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience required

•Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Biomedical Engineering, Nurse, Biotechnology)

•Experience with Echocardiography is a big advantage!

•Training experience in clinical or technical environment preferred.

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and work in a team environment including inter-departmental teams and representing the organization on specific projects

• Good written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional way with doctors, advising and guiding them on the product and knowing when and how to approach every possible situation in the cathlab.

• Moderate knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular science, cardiovascular anatomy, pathology, and physiology.

• Moderate understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and documents, device accountability and adverse events reporting

• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite and ability to operate general office machinery.

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

• Strict attention to detail

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
