West Virginia Employer Correctional Officer I, II, & III /Dr. License in Barboursville, West Virginia
Must have high school diploma/GED, valid driver's license with a good driving record; submit to a physical and drug test; complete WV Correctional Officer Exam online. No experience is necessary. Guard inmates in institutions in accordance with established regulations and procedures. May guard prisoners in transit between jail, courtroom, prison, or other point. Includes deputy sheriffs and police who spend the majority of their time guarding prisoners in correctional institution. To qualify for a CO II, they must have a four year degree in criminal justice or military experience in the specific area of military police.
