As our Housekeeping Manager, you'll be the master of cleanliness and the guardian of guest satisfaction. Your superpower? Ensuring every corner of our hotel is spotless and welcoming. You'll lead a team of cleaning champions, inspiring them to shine brighter than the Atlantic Ocean at sunrise.

We need an effective communicator who can chat, listen, and share ideas like a pro. You should be a self-starter, always on the move and ready to tackle tasks without waiting for instructions. As both a team player and leader, you work well with others and know how to lead by example, seeing solutions where others see challenges.

Excellent customer service skills are a must, making our guests feel at home. You need to be able to juggle multiple tasks efficiently and stay calm under pressure. Integrity and follow-through are crucial, ensuring you complete tasks as promised.

You will be working your magic on a full-time year-round basis. Your schedule will average 40 hours a week. Weekends and holidays are a must. The starting out rate is $1,250 per week.

Here are some more details:

Essential Duties:

  • Providing exceptional service to guests.

  • Daily inspection of rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with department standards and guest expectations., i.e checks all vacant rooms each day to ensure cleanliness standards are being met, (last check for “ First Impression” – drapes, beds & skirts, chairs, lamps, towels, toiletries, carpet, halls are clear of equipment and trash, etc.).

  • Assists in performing Room Attendant duties per staffing needs.

  • Completing daily forms as needed, i.e. status changes, performance log, accident reports, housekeeping logs with times, averages, etc.

  • Ensuring housekeeping equipment is in good working condition, i.e. carts, vacuums, mops, etc.

  • Maintenance of hotel Lost and Found program.

  • Supports the hotel in achieving high performance levels in service and profitability.

  • Responds to guest concerns or complaints in a timely and courteous manner.

  • Supports a culture that promotes high employee morale and performance.

  • Ability to effectively coach, motivate, lead and resolve employee concerns by timely communicating on-going positive and constructive feedback.

  • Other tasks as directed or needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas daily.

  • Lead, hire, and train hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee the housekeeping department, housekeeping budget, take inventory, and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning supplies.

  • Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests.

  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed.

  • Responsible for managing housekeeping shift schedules to ensure effective coverage.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma and/or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • Prior experience working at a hotel or in a housekeeping department is essential and required.

  • Three years of supervisory experience with a focus on customer service is required.

Physical Demands

  • Physically demanding job that requires prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, carrying, twisting, kneeling, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, and working.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, to reach, handle, grasp and communicate.

  • Manual dexterity to clean efficiently, make beds, and perform other related tasks.
