Your day at NTT DATA

The Senior Team Lead, Security Platform Engineering is a developing people management role and forms part of the Global Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CSIRT) team, and is responsible for providing operational management and support to a team of CSIRT Security Platform Engineers who are accountable for detecting and monitoring escalated threats and suspicious activity affecting NTT Ltd.'s technology domain (servers, networks, appliances and all infrastructure supporting production applications for the enterprise, as well as development environments).

This role works closely with other cross functional teams and learns more about new security tools and technologies that are getting onboarded. This role also learns more about the administration, monitoring and maintenance of the security tools/technologies.

The Senior Team Lead, Security Platform Engineering is a people management role, accountable for fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a global CSIRT team that works 24/7 on rotational shifts.

  • Work as part of Platform and Content Engineering handling tunings, stake holder requests, escalations, reporting, trainings

  • Administration of the NTT Data Inc security tools to gather security logs from environment 4 Life cycle management of the supported security tools/technologies, Break-fix, Patching, Live update

  • Create SOPs for new CSIRT process and notify stake holders

  • Document best practices

  • Identify opportunities to make automations which will help the incident response team.

  • Retain People

  • Hiring and staffing high quality people.

  • Ensure all team members are trained on all aspects of the service

  • Ensure all team members are trained on customer service skills

  • Review work output of staff members and provide coach appropriately

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Applies professional knowledge and provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance

  • Works on issues requiring the analysis of data and application of sophisticated problem-solving techniques

  • Exercises judgment and interpretation to help define procedures and policies to determine appropriate action

  • Ability to lead engineering team and fostering a collaborative team environment

  • Ability to foster continuous service delivery optimisation and efficiency

  • Strong problem-solving, organisation and project management skills

  • Ability to ensure that standards and procedures are adhered to within defined SLA s

  • Ability to ensure that projects, assigned work, initiatives are in line with business strategy

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing

  • Relevant level of Networking certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, ACCA, PCNSA, CCSA etc.

  • Relevant level of Security certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM etc. will be added advantage

Required Experience:

  • Developing experience in leading and managing Security teams

  • Solid experience in Security technologies like (Firewall, IPS, IDS, Proxy etc.)

  • Solid experience in technical support to clients

  • Solid experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting

  • Solid experience providing remote support in Security Technologies

  • Solid experience in SOC/CSIRT Operations

  • Solid experience in handling security incidents end to end

  • Knowledge on networking, Linux and security concepts

  • Solid experience in configuring/managing security controls such as Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR, NDR, UTM, Proxy, SOAR, HoneyPots and other security tools

  • Knowledge on log collection mechanism such as Syslog, Log file, DB API

  • Knowledge in security architecture

  • Solid experience in Security Engineering
