The Sales Development Engineer - Municipal Business is the change agent for developing Municipal business, explore potential partners and pitch in innovative offerings and solutions with consultants and end users that are positioned to meet /exceed market needs for best end to end user experience.

The SDE supports the sales team to define and promote key strategies focusing Muni India business. SDE focuses on assigned key markets and is responsible for aligning and managing strategy, products, and marketing activities. The SDE takes the lead to create new value propositions and business plans.

What is the job about?

Overall, your tasks will cover:

• This is an individual contributor role handling PAN INDIA

• Proactively seek new business opportunities. Evaluate and present business opportunities with data driven mindset and competences to the sales team. Develop, facilitate, implement and maintain business strategies and plans for assigned business area.

• Create, provide approved pilot programs to test new ideas and solutions with consultants and end users

• Identify key products and follow up with product management for possibly make in India options.

• High level of engagement with end users, Sales Channels and other stake holders with regular visits.

• Ensure Grundfos name in specification, Government registrations and name to reckon for pumping solutions in Indian market .

• Collect and analyze market intelligence and create recommendations by attending exhibitions and following competitors. Represent Grundfos and Grundfos values as needed in internal/external platforms .

What’s in it for you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering having at least 15 years of experience overseeing defined processes within water utility business services.

• Will be required to contribute strategic planning with collaboration with the rest of the team.

• Good background in implementing complex or specialized project and activities

• Understand the strategy and execute into tactical initiatives and plans

• Good communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal)

• Consultant skills – ability to understand business challenge and solve that utilizing a strong toolbox

• Strong in stakeholder management

• Frequent travel within the role should be expected
