As we enter into the third decade of operation, GBO leadership have set themselves, within their overall strategy, a bold vision – “To Be the Trusted and Respected Business Change & Transformation partner at Diageo, empowering functions to reinvent themselves and deliver strategic value to the business” Over the course of the next 2 years, GBO is looking to reinvent itself to achieve this vision.

Project/Program Manager role will be part of the central Change and Transformation function for GBO, delivering complex and cross functional projects that require solutions to often complex business, operational, financial, legal and regulatory change.

The role:

  • Working closely with the GPOs(Global Process Owners), Technology, Markets and 3rd party partners, function heads and stakeholders at all levels to identify business challenges and scope out appropriate solutions

  • Leading the design and delivery of a strategic change portfolio that aligns with the organizations strategic direction to deliver improved productivity, efficiency, and enhanced customer experience

  • Agreeing the scope for projects with key stakeholders, ensuring that benefits are identified and tracked

  • Ensure good governance for projects and programs, good quality and timely decision making, and effective resource and pipeline management

  • Designing and leading workshops and review sessions with stakeholder groups in areas such as people focused organizational design, service optimization and behavior change

  • Setting up and tailoring project management activities, processes and interfaces

  • acilitating budget and resource prioritization, ensuring budget and resources are allocated where they will have maximum impact

  • Delivering in a manner which is responsive to customer needs, putting mechanisms in place to gather an act upon customer feedback

  • Developing and maintaining program and project plans

  • Tracking and reporting Risks, Issues & Dependencies, responding proactively

  • Monitoring, reporting, and communicating progress against plan to delivery teams, sponsors, stakeholders, PMO and other governance bodies

  • Resolving scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk impacts within shared governance

Candidate Requisites:

  • With overall 10+ years and at least 5 + years’ Experience of delivering Programs/transition projects (Non IT) with Shared Service or (Financial services) is mandatory requirement to apply for this role

  • Excellent organizational leadership capability

  • Demonstrated project management and methodology experience.

  • Demonstrated capability to build and maintain good business relationships.

  • Excellent program/project governance skills

  • Excellent pan cultural impact and influencing skills
