Are you an experienced and skilled Software Test Engineer seeking a dynamic and challenging new opportunity? Look no further! Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is searching for a Manager, Software Test Engineering to become a valuable member of our esteemed engineering team.

This role offers an outstanding chance for you to lead a team of highly skilled test engineers in developing and implementing successful software testing strategies. As a Manager, you will have a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence and dependability of our software products, helping us create a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement efficient software testing approaches, covering aspects like architecture, micro-service functionality, and API verification.

• Collaborate with diverse teams from different departments to develop and implement thorough test plans and test cases.

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of test engineers from various backgrounds, fostering strong relationships and promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.

• Apply Agile development practices like Scrum or Kanban, and use related tools such as Atlassian Jira or Microsoft Azure DevOps.

• Effectively apply Cucumber testing to implement a development approach centered around user behavior.

• Compete in the development and maintenance of databases, persistence frameworks, and SQL.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Java, .Net, Golang, or Python programming.

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented principles, design patterns, data structures, and unit testing (TDD using JUnit).

• Working experience with Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, or NoSQL databases.

• Proven track record in building and managing relationships with test engineers on a global scale.
