Reporting to: Senior Manager/Director of Software Development

The Software Engineering Manager (ASP IDC) is responsible for leading, managing, and supervising software and verification and validation teams based in India Development Center to meet the ASP’s technical objectives. The successful applicant will have a very strong technical background with exceptional organizational, project planning and social skills. This position will directly supervise a development team covering cloud and real-time embedded software development. Prior experience in cloud development and on a cross‐functional product team is crucial.

Your Impact

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your competencies:

• Directs a team of software engineers in the development of software for capital and connected systems used in medical device reprocessing.

• Takes a hands-on approach to leading the software development teams to ensure successful completion of project objectives.

• Works with development teams to define system architectures and specifications.

• Adheres to agile processes and delivery schedules to meet team performance metrics.

• Prepares project budgets, timelines, milestones, and technical descriptions.

• Responsible for all aspects of management, including but not limited to hiring, mentoring, coaching, development, and team building.

• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

• Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Our Needs

Here’s what we’ll need from you:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering / Science or other relevant technical experience is required. Advanced degree is preferred.

• Strong background in agile methodologies and ability to mentor others in their use is required.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with AWS cloud development.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in development and direct management of at least five software engineers.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least one object-oriented language (C++, Java, C#, etc.).

• Ability to communicate and partner with various functions and levels of leadership.

• Project Management experience is required including the ability to plan multi-functional projects and the ability to control, implement, risk mitigate and communicate project status.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Strong breath of experience with various IT technology platforms and tools is required.

• Prior experience in the medical device/life sciences/healthcare industry is preferred.
