Role and responsibility
Lead Software Architect for embedded Software projects targeting wireless IoT devices
Responsible for translating customer and marketing input to software specs
Key contributor to Dialog’s software products roadmap definition
Support and escort marketing in customer meetings, lead technical discussion
Develop world class Software architecture for low power wireless connectivity silicon products
Deliver clear specifications of software architecture to SDK development team ·
Drive platform SW developments with the SDK team and ensure deliverables are meeting the specification
Define key performance indicators (footprint, CPU utilization, …) ·
Support marketing activities and participate at customer meetings to help understand customer needs and identify improvements and evolutions needed in the SDK platform
Scanning of related technologies and market trends; competitive SW architecture analysis ·
React to customer requirements and issues ·
Presenting technology and visions at customers or to management
Lead Software feasibility phases for new low power wireless connectivity products
Technically supervise Software aspects for new low power wireless connectivity products ·
Enhance the Bluetooth stack (includes Link Controller, Link Manager, HCI, Host of both BR/EDR and LE) architecture for upcoming Bluetooth features
Define the functional requirements and specification for designers/implementers ·
Define key performance indicators (footprint, CPU utilization etc) for the Bluetooth stack
Identity improvements and enhancement required in the Bluetooth stack to meet those key performance indicators ·
Responsible for the software interfaces associated with Bluetooth stack such as BSP/Platform, HAL
Participate on selected design review (sometimes C code review) initiated by designers/implementers ·
Represent Renesas in SIG working group meetings with intention to follow new features & errata and provide this information to wider group in Renesas and designers/implementers
Required Skills

•5+ years deep working experience in Embedded Software Development. ·
•Experience in architectural specification and API definition ·
•System level know-how of low-power wireless systems and protocols, e.g. Bluetooth Smart and 802.15.4
Able to drive and work with remote SW development teams to realize the architecture
Ability to analyze sometimes fuzzy client propositions/wishes of high complexity using best practices, based on internal technical knowhow and knowledge of clients’ systems
Very good written and verbal communication skills.
Human relations skills are important to convince customers, project members, management and shows enough assertiveness to alert superiors/colleagues
Colleagues and customer development and coaching skills
Understanding of interfaces with other disciplines
Strive for innovation and adoption of leading edge solutions
Strong external focus, full awareness of competitive edge solutions
Result driven
Must have direct experience/track record on the Bluetooth protocol / specification (on the controller preferred, host also OK).
Experience mush be at the level of architect or development lead (not implementing parts of the stack).
Preferred Dual Mode (Classic + LE) experience, either Classic or LE only also acceptable.

Experience in wireless SW development.

Qualifications
Essential: Degree in Computer science, Electronics or embedded systems, with experience as system software architect for embedded systems ·
Detailed technical experience in system definition/concept engineering within embedded systems/electronics/semiconductor industry
