Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Windchill)Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Mechanical Design/ CAD, 3D packaging, thermal system design, and hardware build and test. The ideal candidate will be involved in 3D packaging of complex power converters, energy storage systems, and PLC systems. Additionally, they will focus on building and thermally designing high-performance power converters, as well as conducting structural analysis and insulation system design. Experience with Windchill is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• 3D packaging of complex power converters, energy storage systems, and PLC systems

• Building of complex power converters, energy storage systems, and PLC systems

• Thermal design of high-performance power converter coldplates, heat exchangers, and overall design of thermal management systems

• Structural analysis of package components, support structures, and shelving under harsh environment shock and vibration

• Design of insulation systems

Essential Skills

• Mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum 3.3 GPA

• Experience in mechanical design, product development, and CAD

• Proficiency in Windchill, CREO, and Solidworks

• Experience in thermal analysis and designing power converters

• U.S. Citizenship required due to US Government ITAR program restrictions

• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics

• Experience designing thermal management systems and/or high-performance coldplates or heat exchangers

• Experience with insulation systems

• MS and PhDs are a plus

Work Environment

The work environment includes an office space combined with R&D, manufacturing, and lab space located right outside of Baltimore City. Our team comprises about 30 employees within the Power Systems group, including Engineering, Design, Management, Administrative, and Contracts. The total company size is around 50-60 people. The company is rapidly growing, having recently doubled the size of their R&D, Manufacturing, and Lab space.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
