Johns Hopkins University Research Program Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland

The Division of Transplant Surgery and the Department of Medicine's Division of Infectious Diseases Transplant Research Center (TRC) is looking for a bright, hardworking professional to join our group as an integral part of our clinical research team as a Research Program Coordinator . Our research focuses on solid organ transplantation and in particular novel transplantation practices such as organ donation from donors with HIV and hepatitis C. We are also studying COVID-19 in the transplant recipient population. The responsibilities of the position focus on administrative, regulatory, and operations support for the program. The position requires precision in the documentation of data, maintenance of regulatory methods, research participant and patient scheduling, and miscellaneous administrative responsibilities. The position will have a required work schedule of five days per week on-site.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support for daily operation for multiple qualitative research studies and grants.

  • Schedule study-related visits or procedures, communicating with participants and study team on dates/times of study visits.

  • Enter participant-related data into data collection tracking databases and update as indicated.

  • Review study consents for completeness, scan, and file according to internal SOPs.

  • Maintain regulatory documents according to internal SOPs.

  • Maintain meeting notes and assist with data entry for assigned studies.

  • Assist with conducting participant interviews or focus groups.

  • Assist with data analysis, including coding of qualitative data.

  • Assist with mailing research-related materials to participants as needed.

  • Assist outside monitors during study audits.

  • Provide miscellaneous administrative support for the program with regard to keeping records, meeting scheduling, and participant reimbursements.

Physical Requirements

  • Mobility and the ability to walk back and forth between university, lab, and hospital.

  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds overhead and pick up and carry objects up to 15 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.

  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Program coordination experience.

  • Qualitative research experience (or background in anthropology, sociology, psychology, education, communications, or related field).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY ($48,880 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
