Johns Hopkins University Research Program Assistant II in Baltimore, Maryland

The Department of Neurology is seeking a Research Program Assistant II to work alongside the research team and Principal Investigator to interpret, process, analyze and identify potential discrepancies with data sets. Strong applicants are well-organized, able to work independently, and collaborate with the principal investigator and research team. In addition, applicants are thorough and detail-oriented. The position reports to the Associate Professor/Principal Investigator.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Derive variables using R or python from large set of SQL tables, clean data, perform analyses on various datasets available as a part of the Multiple Sclerosis Precision Center of Excellence.

  • Perform data analyses using statistical tools.

  • Set up tolls and procedures for data collection and study processes.

  • Display data in graphs, figures and tables in publication quality format.

  • Perform database checks and management.

  • Assist the principal investigator in monitoring data progress and planning goals.

  • May perform basic literature searches, abstract data from literature searches and index gathered data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.

  • Two years related experience.

  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Psychology or related field preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $15.50 - $26.00 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
