Description:

The customer is a nonprofit organization that is a smaller user base which means the support specialist role will be doing a variety tasks and will be responsible for taking escalated calls from the Tier 1. This could range from day to day technical support issues with users being unable to connect to the internet, their printer isn't working, specific issues related to the hardware or software applications of the organization. This person will also help with projects specifically around the Jira ticketing system. They currently using Jira but are not leveraging anything with the tool specifically how to create and generate reports to help create SLA, knowledge base documentation and helping to build out processes for the support desk which is not in place. This person will have the ability to bring ideas to the table on how to continue to improve and advance technology throughout the organization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Performs general problem solving and assistance on diverse software applications and systems for staff.

o Respond to tickets in accordance with SLA guidelines

o Resolve escalated Tier 1 support tickets

• Provides individual and/or group instruction and training to LIRS staff on new or updated technologies.

• May lead lower graded staff performing similar type of work.

• Maintains and inputs applicable records such as, but not limited to, network users, software licenses, and tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials.

• Input and reconcile billing information.

• Performs moderately advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems.

• Assist in streamlining and automating IT operations processes, including, but not limited to,

o Develop scripts to automate processes \ procedures

o Participate in the review, evaluation, recommendation and implementation of new technologies and solutions relating to IT operations.

o Assist in the identification of processes \ procedures \ projects \ scope of work we can pull back from MSP and accomplish in house

• Review and update current documentation on SharePoint.

• Serves as primary project member on technology projects.

• Keep abreast of new technologies and offer recommendations for upgrades to software \ hardware.

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
