Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day building operations including responding to tenant requests, performing repairs, and preventative maintenance of building systems. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance to all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and finishes. Perform basic preventative building and grounds maintenance. Coordinate and monitor access for subcontractors performing maintenance or repair work.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant requests and perform repairs and preventative maintenance of building systems.

• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and finishes.

• Perform basic preventative building and grounds maintenance.

• Coordinate and monitor access for subcontractors performing maintenance or repair work.

• Perform light plumbing repairs including shutting off water in certain areas of the building to work on sinks and toilets.

• Change door knobs, light fixtures, and lighting ballasts.

• Maintain all tools, parts, and supplies in an organized manner.

• Inform the Chief Building Technician of any needs for replacement, restocking, or repair of items.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of commercial building experience.

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

• High Rise Maintenance experience.

• Stationary Engineer certification or equivalent experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in one of the three main trades: HVAC, plumbing, or electrical, with a preference for strong HVAC skills.

• Commercial experience is mandatory.

The pay range for this position is $53000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
