As a founding member of the Lean & Continuous Improvement organization for Gas Power – Global Services, you will be an active contributor in accelerating our Lean Transformation journey. You will act as the expert in application of Lean concepts/principles/tools across our transactional business processes. As the “head coach”, you will partner with Lean/CI Leader and senior leadership team to define flow and a pull-based Lean operating system and Lean roadmap for Global Services.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Incubate a Center of Excellence (COE) for Transactional Lean, serving as the key authority for standardized application of Lean concepts/tools in transactional (non-manufacturing) settings for Global Services.

  • Partner with Lean/CI Leader to drive the Hoshin Kanri process including cascading of x-Matrix, TTIs (Target to Improve) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

  • Coach senior executives on transactional lean concepts/tools and their application in ITO (Inquiry-to-Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) processes.

  • Support the preparation for Monthly Operating Reviews for Global Services.

  • Facilitate complex Kaizens and LAWOs (Lean Action Workouts) across Global Services.

  • Groom the next level of Transactional Lean Specialists through in-class and in-Genba training approaches.

  • Partner with PMO team to develop and launch Lean coaching program for relevant Global Services employees and aid a bottom-up cultural transformation resulting in step-change in operational business metrics.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or a high school diploma / GED with at least strong experience in business process improvement roles).

  • Significant years of experience in facilitating or coaching Lean tools such as Hoshin Kanri, Standard Work, Daily Management, Problem Solving and Action-plans in large organizations.

  • Proven years of experience leading change and turn-arounds in transactional (non-manufacturing) settings using Lean, and an appreciation for key nuances vs manufacturing lean.

  • Significant people leader experience in organizations supporting ITO, OTR or NPI processes.

  • Formal Lean facilitation training/certification and/or a GE leadership program graduate (XLP, ESLP, OMLP, LTT)

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $137,700.00 - $229,500.00 USD USD annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.

This position is also eligible for a 15% annual performance bonus. This position will stay open on the career website until at least 05/05/2024.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
