Car Jockey

PeopleReady of  Ayr, ON is now hiring Car Jockeys! As a Car Jockey, you will do a variety of work in different industries. As a car jockey you will move new vehicles from parking areas to a designated staging area where they will be loaded onto car carriers.A van will be used to transport workers from railway car to parking area where the vehicles will be driven to the staging area.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 / Hour

What you'll be doing as a Car Jockey:

• Once you are trained you will drive vehicles from rail cars to designated parking area.

• Workers will need to lift and place a 40 lb plate in order to set up the tracks that will be used to drive vehicles off of railway cars.

• Hours Monday to Sunday 6am - 4pm

• Rotating 10 hr Shifts

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation as position is not on a bus route.

• Must have steel toed boots(Re-reimbursement after 30 days).

• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check.

• Must have a clean Driver's Abstract.

• Must have a G class license.

• Must be able to work in all types of weather

• Background check required
