Description We are offering a role for a Chief Legal Officer – Attorney in Aventura, Florida. This role involves providing legal advice and strategies to the executive team, reviewing and writing various internal legal contracts, and ensuring legal compliance. The role is within the legal function of the industry and involves working in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the legal matters of the business as a whole, acting as the business' legal representative.

• Advise the executive team on new and existing laws and legal rights that impact the functionality of the business.

• Maintain records of all legal documents and proceedings for the company.

• Implement short- and long-term strategies impacting the organization's legal function.

• Provide legal advice and counsel, representing the organization in legal proceedings.

• Ensure that organizational operations and practices always follow applicable laws and regulations, recommending changes to organizational policies or procedures with the goal of minimizing risk.

• Stay up to date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules, and regulations that directly affect the business.

• Coordinate legal efforts with the organization's outside counsel while managing external legal expenses.

• Collaborate with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization. Requirements

• Must hold a Juris Doctorate degree and be Florida barred

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney

• Demonstrated expertise in Compliance and Contract Law

• Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and Drafting Legal Contracts

• Extensive knowledge of Real Estate Law

• Familiarity with Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A)

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills

• High ethical standards and professional integrity

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
