Charles Schwab Sr Specialist - Software Development & Engineering in Austin, Texas

Duties: Build and develop software based on the technical specifications to meet business requirements. Building, enhancing, and maintaining MQ message configuration and IIB /IBM ACE message flows. Analyzing and investigating problems reported and provide solutions in time. Performing maintenance of software and correcting defects that have been identified during the maintenance process. Running unit tests on software they create, implementing test plans, testing harnesses and document the test results. Investigating and suggesting solutions to defects and problems with software solutions that have been detected during testing. Perform continuous integration and continuous deployment, including test automation and metrics. Resolve non-production and production issues quickly to ensure stability.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Location: Austin, TX

Salary: $139,464.00 to $160,800.00 per year

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or a related field and 60 months of experience in a related occupation. Experience must include the following: Coding/scripting including ESQL, SQL, XML, Core Java and UNIX scripting and Admin; Database experience in DB2, Toad, IBM DB2, MySQL, Oracle, SQL server; Developing Web services in IIB (Message Broker) and Message Broker (Both REST & SOAP Based); Design and development using IBM WebSphere tools like Message Broker and MQ; Experience in Multi-Tier and Web Enabling the Legacy Systems with IBM WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Message Broker; Agile development; and Financial domain experience.
