Charles Schwab Sr Specialist - Software Development & Engineering in Austin, Texas

Duties : Designs and develops software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs and requirements using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise. Works closely with technology owners to design and refine architecture of applications. Works closely with Product owners/stakeholders/ developers to refine product and quality requirements of applications. Develops Software Test Automation to automate testing of front end and back-end applications to determine quality of product delivered to production. Implement intelligent code to cover security, scalability, resiliency and reliability of application. Performance Test applications using a variety of tools, identify and remediate application hotspots to meet application scalability and resiliency needs. Monitor PCF and Splunk logs to address issues in Production. Works with Developers, QA engineers and Program partners to make sure integration is seamless. Works with all new CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment automation and save time. Participates and support product releases with Release partners. Position allows for partial remote work (at least 3 times in the office). Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, TX.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technologies, or related field and 3 years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Position requires 3 years of related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: .Net technology stack to implement front end Angular, Angular JS application and back end Restful API applications; Distributed multi-tier applications, NO SQL and SQL databases, and troubleshooting with logging applications (Splunk); Testing methodologies including unit testing, functional testing and performance testing; Designing and implementing test driven (ATDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) to validate REST/ SOAP based Web Service API(s) and UIs in a transaction processing environment; DevOps Tools and Methodology to promote continuous testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery of code; Developing and testing applications using object-oriented programming and design patterns, SOLID Principles and 12 Factor Principles; Cloud Platforms including PCF, Azure and with Cloud Computing Models (IaaS and PaaS).
