Charles Schwab Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Senior in Austin, Texas

Duties : Design, develop, and research computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Provide hands-on development and mentoring as necessary for all members of the team to ensure team and project success. Interface with product owners and key stakeholders in Project Management, Business, QA, and Technology Operations to ensure high quality delivery of software projects on time and budget. Identify technology risks and dependencies early to establish mitigation plans. Create artifacts for each project such as software architecture documentation, technical use cases, and code review packages. Meet periodically with onshore and offshore developers to review and improve code quality, requirements specification, and design methodologies. Support integration efforts to build whole systems from various subsystems. Build and utilize automated software test tools and frameworks such as test-driven development to achieve software quality standards. Support release manager to assemble releases and drive improvements in the release process. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $180,800 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field. Requires 7 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Developing front-end and back-end SOA capabilities for web applications using .Net, C#, J2EE technologies, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Angular JS, and HTML5; Integrating B2B applications using SQL Server ,Oracle, and noSQL systems; Implementing micro services using PCF and GCP; Integrating REST/SOAP APIs and native libraries; Building CI/CD delivery pipeline using Jenkins and Bamboo; Application server platforms like Tomcat and Jboss; and Agile Methodology and Scaled Agile.
