Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk - Junior to join their team. As an Inventory Control Clerk - Junior, you will be part of the Inventory Control department supporting the shipping and receiving team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, be a quick learner, and have good oral and written communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Inventory Control Clerk - Junior (US)

Location: Austin, TX

What's the Job?

  • Responsible for packing & shipping (some lifting required) along with the associated paperwork (Excel spreadsheet inventory control, FedEx on-line processing, etc.).

  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

  • Compiles requests for material for lab and stock into an RFQ.

  • Coordinating with management and admin to process into purchase request.

  • Tracking incoming material in order to complete a Goods Receipt in SAP.

  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

  • Job entails significant standing and moving.

What's Needed?

  • 1-3 years of Inventory Control experience.

  • Basic computer skills (use of keyboard, mouse).

  • Proficient with Excel and Word, Outlook.

  • Able to complete on-line data entry forms.

  • Comprehend international shipping forms.

  • Knowledge of shipping programs (FedEx).

  • Attention to details and diligent in updating inventory database.

  • Energetic, self-motivated, quick learner.

  • Can work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to take verbal direction.

  • Able to adapt to changing environment and/or procedures.

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
