Seeking experienced Enterprise Systems Administrator to perform highly advanced work including design, installation, administration and security of enterprise computing systems ensuring alignment with ERS strategic goals, business needs and management priorities. Work involves highly advanced operational tasks and projects related to the IT systems lifecycle, including analysis, design, innovation, implementation, integration, evaluation, testing, documentation, training, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, administration and security of infrastructure, systems, services and applications. Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ConductsCoordinates the design, implementation, administration and support of platform systems, including Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy, identity and access management products, certificate and encryption products and systems, as well as configuration and endpoint management products and applications. Ensures support, capacity, performance, reliability, security and usability of platform systems. ConductsCoordinates the design, implementation, administration and support of infrastructure systems, including VMware data-center products, server and data storage systems (SAN/NAS), load-balancers and systems software. Ensures support, capacity, performance, reliability, security and usability of infrastructure systems. ConductsCoordinates the design, implementation, administration and support of backup systems and applications. Configures backup and other jobs ensuring all server data is protected using standard agency practices and schedules. Conducts operational backup management including monitoring routine backups and mitigating any failures or issues which occur. ConductsCoordinates the design, implementation, administration and support of monitoring systems and applications. Ensures monitoring tools are configured to detect availability, capacity and other issues and proactively address alerts and notices in a timely manner to minimize or eliminate impact to agency production. Researches, assesses, evaluates, and implements new, upgraded, and developing systems, technologies, standards and changes to enhance agency enterprise IT systems and operations. Provides recommendations and risk assessments of new features, capacity and licensing requirements, high-availability, and integrations. Coordinates and/or develops, document and follow best practices, operating procedures and guidelines and provide quality control through the application of procedures and standards. Performs analysis, validation and revision of existing documents for currency, accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness. Participates in disaster recovery including planning, documentation and exercises to ensure preparedness to respond to disasters and other unplanned situations and events which could impact system availability for business operations. Adheres to ITSM standards and methodologies including Change Management. Required Minimum Qualifications: Your application for employment must reflect how you meet each of the following minimum qualifications: 1) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in data processing, computer science, management information systems, business or related field. Each year of related experience over the required minimum ay be substituted for one year (30 semester hours) of required college credit. 2) Six (6) years of experience in an enterprise technology environment supporting Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Active Directory. Preferred Qualifications: Your application for employment should reflect how you meet the following preferred qualifications: 3) Experience managing and supporting a virtualized server environment. 4) Experience managing and supporting Active Directory and its various other components. 5) Experience managing and supporting enterprise monitoring solutions. 6) Experience managing server and storage equipment. 7) Experience with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Subnets and Firewall rules. 8) Current certification in one of the following: MCSE, VCP (VMware), CompTIA Server+, Security+ and similar certifications.
