What You Will Be Doing:
One of Georgia’s oldest and most successful private companies is recruiting its next generation of high-performance leaders! Yancey Brothers Caterpillar is seeking candidates to join the Sales and Leadership Training Program. We are looking for candidates who are motivated to build their sales and operational capabilities in preparation for future roles. This is a great opportunity to get an entry level role into sales and a pathway to leadership.
This is a full-time, salary position that is offered twice a year with flexible start dates.
The Sales and Leadership Training Program (SaLT) is a selective 12-week, rotation-based training program that gives you the opportunity to learn about each division within the company.
During this program, you will go through sales and leadership training, both computer-based and in person. You will also participate in hands on training and shadowing – providing an opportunity to meet with different members of the organization to learn about their roles and responsibilities.
Once hired, you will be assigned a job path with the assistance of our company leaders. A schedule tailored to this path is assigned for the duration of the program to supplement your training and give you the foundation you need for the next role.
Upon completion of the program, you will begin your career in the first of many positions you will hold within the company.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for candidates that have prior experience working/volunteering in sales, retail, management, or customer service type roles. Good communication skills, desire to learn and a willingness to listen will be essential for maintaining relationships with your customers and fellow coworkers. You should possess a sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to work both with a team and independently is essential to this position as well.
Education/Experience:
College degree or related equivalent experience.
Long-term interest in future sales and leadership opportunities with Yancey Bros. Co. is preferred.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Demonstrated success in prior work/volunteer experience
Ability to use judgment and creativity in applying solutions to business concerns
High energy and strong work ethic required.
Ability to effectively communicate sales, parts, and service solutions over telephone, in person and through technology.
Ability to work in a team setting and individually
