Product Engineer

Job Description

As a Product Engineer, you will facilitate the new product development process which will include: schedules, engineering calculations and designs, specifications, testing, BOMs, cost estimates, experiment design, prototypes, and transfer to initial production parts. You will also contribute to customer interactions on product design, styling, and engineering requirements while ensuring manufacturability. Your role will involve the selection of materials and designs to meet customer functional needs and balance manufacturing requirements. You will be a technical support resource to our sales organization in areas of materials, construction methods, design, and testing. The use of design software to generate drawings/models based on design requirements is integral to this role. You will execute the transfer of new products to operations, working cross-functionally with quality, supply chain, sales, manufacturing, and other disciplines. You will also update and maintain product information and specifications for existing products in an ISO 9001 environment. In addition, you will collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot existing products and processes and create and maintain records of product development activities.
