Job Overview

Facilitate implementation of behavior plans created by licensed psychiatric professional for inpatient and day treatment patients. Coordinate with unit leadership to recommend appropriate staff to patient assignments to maintain a safe environment and provide feedback regarding staff intervention efforts in the milieu setting. Facilitate/model for Behavior Specialists. Assist ancillary staff, caregivers, providers in understanding how to implement general behavioral or coping strategies as well as those listed on patients' behavior management plan. Collaborate with members of the unit treatment team. Coordinator would assist with organizing and maintaining data collection, data analysis, provide direct supervision of Behavior Specialist and Behavior Specialist Sr, treatment-plan development, and research activities. This position may encounter potentially volatile care situations that could result in bodily harm.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education Required; Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or another related field preferred Experience: Four (4) years of pediatric psych/behavioral specialty in a therapeutic setting. No professional level experience for master's degree Certification(s): Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification This position may require a BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
