Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing all activities related to accounts payable functions of our company. This involves creating payment methods, maintaining payment records, processing payments, and reconciling invoices. The candidate must have a robust understanding of accounting principles and excellent numerical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process, verify, and maintain invoices on a daily basis

• Ensures accurate, efficient, and timely payment of invoices, regulating control over the payment cycle

• Consolidate, analyze, and reconcile accounts payable transactions

• Carry out vendor maintenance, producing monthly reports and assisting in month end closing

• Engage in regular interaction with vendors, resolving any discrepancies pertaining to invoices

• Participate in fiscal audits, supplying auditors with requested information as necessary

• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

• Develop and improve accounts payable procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Work collaboratively with the finance team and other departments to streamline vendor payment processes

• Manage petty cash reimbursements and disbursements

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or a similar role in the Accounting field

• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software

• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements

• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
