Polaris Business Solutions, Inc. seeks Professional Services Lead in Auburn, NY. Provide functional consulting services including explaining products and services, instructing and training in use of software, configuring software, and resolving problems and troubleshooting. Perform accounting and financial statement preparation services to ensure accounting integrity. Review company-wide financial data and correct errors to ensure accuracy. Follow accounting regulations to ensure clients’ compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Review figures on a variety of documents and statements to prepare accounting reconciliations to ensure all records are accurate. Review performance to budget and assist on key engagements. Conduct payroll processing and accounting to ensure the accuracy of hourly and salaried payments, deductions, and all relevant benefits. Support annual audits by preparing documents and collaborating with consultants and audit staff. Support risk assessment, stakeholder management, and quality assurance activities for high-priority projects, following the manager’s lead. Participate in formulating project strategies and decision-making for critical projects to ensure they align with the organization's objectives. Travel approx. 10% of the time to unanticipated client sites and conferences in the US and internationally for meetings and training. Requires Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or related. Must also have advanced knowledge (gained from academic coursework, research project, teaching assistantship, or practical training through internship or co-op) of: Accounting concepts, principles, and theory and financial reporting methods; Operations management and process improvement; Data analysis for accounting; Preparation of financial statements with accounting concepts, principles, and techniques; Audit process and reporting of financial statements; and Financial statement analysis and valuation methods.
