Jabil may assignreasonably related additional duties to individual employees, consistent with company policies.SUMMARYPerforms inspection per IPC-A-610 standards, hand soldering operations including minor solderrepairs and standardized, repetitive electronic assembly operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Verifies documentation at workstation is correct• Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures and compares inspected circuitboards to drawings, visual aids or computerized data• Inserts parts into/on circuit boards according to documentation and places completedcircuit boards into housings or fixtures• Inspects the accuracy of machine and manual placements of parts along with theirsolderability per IPC-A-610 Standards and internal documentation• Inspects in-process and finished production assemblies for conformance and accepts orrejects using IPC-A610 standards and internal documentation• Labels boards, fills out process control cards, uses a bar code scanner and enters datainto MES• Audits material kits and orders from MRO as needed• Dispositions non-conforming materials• Maintains clean and organized work area using 6s guidelines• Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standardsand work practices along with all other work rulesMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic reading, writing and math skills required (i.e., 8th grade level).Basic PC skills required (i.e., keyboarding, mouse usage, Windows usage, opening and closingprograms and files using MS Windows).PHYSICAL DEMANDSStanding may be required 100% of the timeFrequently required to walk, bend, lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbsClose vision for observation of finished product, reading drawings, prints, visual aids etc. andextended use of a computer monitor screenWORK ENVIRONMENTWork area is on the Manufacturing floorJob Title: Solderer I (continued)Noise level is normally moderateExposure to machinery with moving parts and high temperature surfacesOccasional exposure to low dust/dirt and chemical fumesMay be required to wear a ventilation mask and protective clothingSafety glasses required unless using a scope or mag light
