Our client in the Atwater market has an immediate opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a long term contract. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be expected to perform all aspects of the accounts payable functions. This includes accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable invoices, weekly accounts payable payment processing, and heavy data entry of accounts payable invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform varied aspects of the accounts payable functions

• Process all accounts payable invoices accurately and within established time limits

• Manage weekly accounts payable payment processing

• Monitor payment terms to ensure vendors are paid on time

• Maintain and file 1099 records in an efficient and timely manner

• Post expenditures into the accounting system

• Reconcile accounts payable related accounts

• Communicate effectively concerning accounts payable issues with vendors and departments

• Handle heavy data entry of accounts payable invoices

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Data Entry to fulfill job duties.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least 1 year of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory

• Strong data entry skills are required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in using computer software and applications related to accounting and finance

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is essential

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is a plus

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail is necessary

• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
