Google Technical Program Manager II, New Product Introduction, Data Center in Atlanta, Georgia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience in planning, building, driving and qualifying New Product Introduction (NPI) process stages throughout the Product Life Cycle (PLC) with engineering teams.

  • Experience in managing capacity and deployment planning as it relates to data center infrastructure and standards (e.g., power, space, cooling, operations, network, servers, hardware products).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience working with hardware programs (e.g., PCBA, L10 assembly) or networking products (e.g., NICs, switches, optics, racks).

  • Experience in managing data center constraints.

  • Experience in data center, networking and machine deployments, with an understanding of the deployment process.

  • Knowledge of data center physical layouts, infrastructure, and standards (e.g., power, space, cooling, operations and network).

  • Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) process and Product Life Cycle (PLC), as it relates to hardware products for machine learning and high-performance computing.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Support the delivery of large, complex projects, managing data center constraints (e.g., power, space, cooling, operations and network) in data center deployments.

  • Create and manage physical layouts and standards, including the deployment impact and feasibility of NPIs. Define and manage tooling requirements for planning and delivery.

  • Influence the development of New Product Introduction (NPI) and server floor design decisions, focused particularly on upcoming fleetwide transitions in the Machine Learning (ML) and accelerators space. Build plans to help smoothly transition between successive product generations.

  • Define standards and policies to simplify deployability of new ML and accelerator products, spanning TPU, GPU, and other product families across multiple product area.

  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams. Drive process improvements, especially regarding coordination and collaboration across internal engineering resources.
