Sr. Software Application Developer – Randstad General Partner (US) LLC – Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Job Duties:

Design, develop, document, and maintain software programs and applications to support business needs. Work closely with others, such as Project Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, and Architects to analyze user needs, and design and create optimum software. Modify existing software to fix errors and enhance functionality and performance. Responsible for software development including writing new software programs, maintaining existing software programs which includes enhancements and bug fixes. Activities in software development include but are not limited to: analysis of the requirements, determining feasibility, formulating plans required to develop new program, technical design, debugging, coding, unit testing, migration and/or installation, and documentation of changes. Provide production support of day-to-day business operations, working to identify and resolve issues based on priority. Act as an advisor to junior team members, supervisors, or staff members to help meet established schedules and resolve technical or operational problems. Manage stakeholder communications, including conducting briefings and technical meetings for IT and business representatives. Stakeholders include organization managers and leaders, as well as business partners. Communicate with stakeholders to discuss business requirements and explain programming logic as it relates to design and function, operational decisions, scheduling requirements or clarifications meetings. Provide technical direction to junior level developers and provide guidance and mentoring based on organizational goals and policy.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, Engineering, or related field. Must have 5 years of experience in Software Development (Design/Build/Unit Test/Migrate).

Must have 5 years of production support experience performing root cause analysis to identify problems.

Must have 5 years of customer support experience as a mid-level contributor, including demonstrated experience working on a team involving customers and other IT counterparts. Must have 5 years of experience in Technical Project Management and mid-level Stakeholder Communications. Must have 5 years of experience in: Web: java, javascript, Git, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Web Technologies (HTML, javascript, & http), Relational databases; OOP, ORM, MEAN Stack, SDLC, SQL; and C#, html5/css3, Git version control, automated unit testing and performance testing. Must have 2 years of experience mentoring others, including demonstrated experience in: Business Domain knowledge; strategic architecture; team influencing; risk management protocols; improvement opportunity identification; abstract requirements; early-stage issues/gaps identification; problem solving; applying concepts appropriately; and basic situation analysis combining technical and business points of view. Employer will accept a master’s degree in one of the above-listed fields plus 3 years of the above listed experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience.

Compensation Range: $138,486 to $155,700
