Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) is hiring for a Senior Finance Manager. This person will work with and learn from finance teams in the Field and at Corporate. This person will be energized by teamwork and playing an integral role in helping leaders see beyond the numbers.

The Senior Finance Manager will enjoy solving complex and ambiguous business problems. You will develop skills in cost management and resource allocation. You will also develop deep understanding of the business you support and have an eye for detail without losing sight of the big picture. You will get the opportunity to build decision-making framework around profitable share and marginal costs to drive higher return on investment as we investment to lead the AI wave.

As the Senior Finance Manager , you will :

  • Determine financial results and conduct variance analyses. Identifies variance causes and solutions.

  • You will be highly collaborative across teams/cultures to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results, and at the same time

  • In this role, you sit across the table with leaders and provide crisp and succinct insights to drive decision-making and world-class sales execution.

  • This role will play critical role by closely partnering with Industry Solutions sales and delivery business teams and Enterprise Azure team, drives impact by building robust business insights, reporting, key metrics to track consumption.

  • Closely partner with area finance controllers, sales strategy teams and consumption leads.

  • Provide business leader support and actionable insights during financial close periods.

  • Review recurring financial reporting and presentations. Identifies trends, and formulates action plans.

As a Consumption Lead you will drive Industry Solutions Annual Consumption Revenue (ACR) and Cloud growth, rhythm of the business (ROB) process (monthly, quarterly, forecasting and budgeting), key metrics and Key Performance Indicator (KPI), Drive deal analytics for consumption, Microsoft Azure Consumption Contract (MACC), Attach metrics for both forward looking pipe and backward looking actual, committed and uncommitted pipe. As well as drive initiatives to align processes and performance to business strategy and connection with broader MCAPS org.

Responsibilities

  • Provides business insights and recommendations to peers and stakeholders to achieve revenue and profitability goals and drive shareholder return, including. Manages and executes processes through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborates with business leaders to define action plans for financial and business analysis findings.

  • Applies advanced understanding of Microsoft Finance and business (e.g., monetization strategy, market, key drivers, revenue channels, advanced technology, and business partner work context) to multiple situations to evaluate results and analysis.

  • Develops and manages strategies to proactively mitigate, or reactively address, potential adverse effects of macroeconomic and/or geopolitical risks.

  • Maintains working knowledge of Microsoft financial systems, policies, and processes to evaluate potential impacts of changes, and drives improvements in efficiency and accuracy.

  • Contributes to new and unconventional methods and approaches to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and financial models. Provides advice and direction to teammates and peers on data management and operations.

  • Leads efforts to leverage technology to increase productivity (e.g., report optimization) and to ensure accurate conclusions.

  • Integrates varied data sources and assimilates the information into a comprehensive, clear narrative. Communicates results in a compelling and understandable message.

  • Articulates understanding and awareness of business partner situation

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
