Xylem, INC is searching for a technically skilled, well qualified individual for a Senior Field Service Technician position to support our Municipal Services Business Unit. This position is a remote (dispatch from home in a company service vehicle) technician position based in Northern Georgia. This position will cover installation and maintenance of equipment primarily in the state of Georgia, but travel to help out in other territories may be required. The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for the safe handling of wastewater treatment chemicals, installation and maintenance of advanced chemical feed systems, chemical storage, and monitoring equipment.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks for Senior Field Service Technicians
Rigorous collection, consolidation, logging, and distribution of field data
Chemical inventory monitoring and order placement
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and PM of metering pumps, piping
systems, relay logic and PLC control systems, telemetry/web-based remote inventory
monitoring equipment
Mechanical installation of chemical feed systems and storage tanks
Service and installation of chlorine dioxide generators
Conduct startup and training sessions after installation when required
Customer site management via remote access technologies
Become proficient on all air handling and air filtration systems
Maintain, adjust, and optimize all liquid and vapor phase equipment
Download/upload data and information into the customer site database
Enter time/mileage/materials directly into the SAP Business Management System for processing Service Orders and payroll purposes
Position Requirements for Senior Field Service Technicians
- HS diploma or equivalent required
The qualifications the ideal candidate will have include:
Two-year Electrical/Mechanical, Chemical Operator, or Engineering Degree preferred
Minimum requirement High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in the electrical/mechanical, chemical, and/or wastewater operations fields is strongly desired
Must have experience troubleshooting and making minor adjustments to PLCs
Must have strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Proficient computer skills is a must for both in-field and internal work responsibilities
Familiarity with web/modem remote control system access and downloadable data logging devices
Have a strong sense of safety and be willing to adopt the Safety Culture
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record; must meet eligibility requirements to operate a fully equipped EWT company supplied service vehicle
Must be physically able to perform material handling and installation duties and be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds
Industry specific licenses preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 80% of work week requires overnight travel.
Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. Actual starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

Salary range:
$54,000.00 - $86,500.00
