The Blue River Group Project Manager in Atlanta, Georgia
Project managers are responsible for the following: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction personnel. Work with Senior Project Manager to prepare subcontracts. Work with subcontractors and coordinate work and documentation. Problem-solve to address delays, emergencies, or other issues. Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements. Report progress to clients. Work with budgets, cost estimates, schedules, and timelines. Responsible for profit and loss on an individual project basis. Report all relevant information to Senior Project Manager/Director of Operation/ President. Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors and identify qualified subcontractors. Negotiate price to prepare bids for projects assigned to bid or negotiate. Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Maintain quality service by following organizational standards. Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional and personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field, plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related position required. Must have construction experience. Alternatively, we will accept a Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field. Less than 10% domestic travel required annually. Work Location: 2295 Parklake Dr Suite 105, Atlanta GA 30345. 40hrs/week. Position is eligible for an employee referral bonus of $500 (less taxes).
