Overview:

The CSSU Projects Team is part of the TNT Sports Production Services & Operations Team and supports CSSU Linear Creative and Content, Design, Multimedia, BR Gaming, and Sales on the production of all pre-produced content and marketing & sales creative elements.

The Projects Team is the glue for CSSU creative development and production — holding everyone accountable to the overarching project goal. The projects group leads teams by driving their focus where it’s required in a fast-paced environment. They are the main point of contact for our internal and external partners and clients and are the people to go to when an update is needed on where a project is and where it needs to be. They will listen to the needs of partners, clients and the CSSU team and help drive improvements in how we work together. Finally, they will drive the project to completion and delivery on-time.

The Manager role is pivotal in leading the team who are project managing the production of all pre-produced content created for TNT Sports linear brands. This position is responsible for long range planning, keeping up with changing business needs and helping to create strategic workflows to meet the needs of the business. They are the main point of contact for various internal and external partners to ensure all creative projects have the project management support they need. They are the key partner for their creative counterparts in ensuring the creative production team’s projects run seamlessly.

Job Responsibilities:

Project ownership (60%)

  • Manage projects from start-to-end by defining project scope, developing detailed project plans and milestones, managing production schedules, leading communication, providing status updates, and delivering final assets.

  • Liaison between various groups touching a project including, but not limited to CSSU creative, multimedia, production, production management, programming, design, business teams, marketing, sales and sponsorship, league, legal, and talent services.

  • Create, monitor, and maintain tracking grids/system for all projects.

  • Main contact for producers/designers to communicate the daily business/project status, as well as the monitoring, tracking, and reporting on project deliverables to ensure project deadlines are on target.

  • Manage producer schedule for individual projects.

  • Create, communicate, and adhere to production timelines.

  • Manage the process of approvals and feedback as well as feedback to Management.

  • Quickly find solutions for operational questions or issues within the production team

  • Work with Producers and scheduling team on scheduling needs.

  • Maintain QT Archive for owned projects.

  • Update meeting notes/agendas and send recaps.

Lead long range content planning and development (10%)

  • Work with various groups to determine future needs.

  • Work closely with Creative Leadership in long range planning.

  • Lead project management for content development.

  • Bring creative groups together to brainstorm needs.

  • Facilitate creative write ups and handle/oversee all needed approvals and communication of final concept.

Management and Leadership (10%)

  • People Manager

  • Manage day-to-day team member workload and issues that arise.

  • Monitor and approve hours, overtime and PTO/UTO days.

  • Team project oversight

  • Oversee and provide guidance and direction to team in day-to-day responsibilities; coaching as needed to help them achieve their goals and meet the needs of the business.

  • Work with Marketing Manager to oversee Getty tracking document to ensure all team members are tracking images related to their projects.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships to be main POC for various groups across the business including, but not limited to creative, multimedia, production, production management, programming, design, business teams, marketing, sales and sponsorship, league, legal, and talent services.

Operational Management (5%)

  • Process/workflow

  • Identify areas of potential improvement in day-to-day processes and work with Senior Project Manager and Director on possible solutions.

  • Help implement solutions.

Budget Support (5%)

  • Budget back up & support

  • Understanding of budget/forecast/tracking to answer questions in Senior Project Manager and Directors’ absence.

  • Assist in managing month to month forecast.

  • Work with Senior Project Manager and Director to plan yearly budgets.

  • Individual project budgets:

  • Work with Production Manager on full project budgets and tracking for all project expenses including shoots, music, footage/image licensing, post work (freelancers, comp, etc.), VO and any other expenses that may be incurred for the project.

  • Responsible for keeping up with and being able to communicate expenses for all content projects the team works on.

Awards (5%)

  • Work with Senior Project Manager and Director and other Projects Team leads on all creative and content award entries.

  • Work with PR closely to determine award entries.

  • Delegate and oversee submission material creation, gathering, qc’ing, approvals and uploading.

Presentations (5%)

  • Work with leadership to plan and proactively create presentations.

  • Delegate and oversee presentation production process.

  • Ensure archives are maintained.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years operational, production, project management experience.

  • 2-3 years management experience.

  • Demonstrates critical thinking and the ability to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Able to contribute to possible solutions and help implement changes.

  • Demonstrates analytical skills and the ability to strategize and creatively problem solve to fit the project needs.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to cultivate relationships with internal and external partners and clients.

  • Strong organizational skills and an interest in pulling together the pieces to create a clear and concise plan.

  • Understands the importance of cultivating and developing growth within the team.

  • Understands company goals and how they translate to individual team goals.

  • Acts as a catalyst for change in an ever-evolving business environment.

  • Flexibility to work unconventional hours and travel some.

  • Position in full-time and based in Atlanta.
