THRIVE SS Inc Program Manager for Family and Community Health Education in Atlanta, Georgia

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Program Manager will have a range of responsibilities for delivering THRIVE program commitments. These encompass but are not limited to making annual program workplans and budgets; tracking budget expenditures and activity implementation; contracting and managing local implementation partners; overseeing interventions and activities to ensure their impact and effectiveness; ensuring strong relationships with local authorities and community leaders; and reporting on results to THRIVE partners, donors, and key stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and execute evidence-based programs and associated program communications that increases HIV knowledge and awareness, reduces HIV risk, increases HIV diagnosis and enrollment and retention in care, and enhances supportive community engagement.
  • Prepare annual program workplans and oversee their implementation.
  • Prepare annual budgets and track expenditures against budget.
  • Work closely with THRIVEs Communications Team to coordinate all aspects of internal and external communications, branding, and marketing.
  • Work collaboratively with THRIVEs Development team to provide programmatic information and content to existing or prospective donors.
  • Collaborate across THRIVE to bolster agency advocacy plans.
  • Actively seek community involvement and guidance in all aspects of program design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Monitor the implementation activities in program locations and guide implementing partners to effectively deliver intended results.
  • Collect data against program indicators and effectively utilize data to regularly report on results to THRIVE teams, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and complete reporting to donors in accordance with approved reporting formats.

Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to:

  • Full participation in Leadership Team meetings and activities.
  • Significant participation in the creation and submission of funding proposals.
  • Engage in qualitative program analysis and compile and maintain data as directed.
  • Collect and record program data for the ad hoc, weekly, and/or monthly reporting.
  • Provide narrative and program data reports for funders as required.
  • Provide on-going training to staff and volunteers to correctly carry out duties.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as social work, public health, social science, or business management.
  • Prefer experience working on HIV-related issues or with people who experience HIV/AIDS. Must be able to work evenings and weekends a few times a month and quarterly travel.

Travel Requirements

This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel on occasion to meetings, training, or to support the organization and/or clients.
