Job Summary

End User Sales provides single point contact for sales & customer support, managing a defined territory and leading strategic focus with regular interface for Ruhrpumpen in a defined territory and assigned accounts.  Follows “One Face One Customer” Policy.  End User Sales is responsible for increasing sales, (either directly or through assigned/new distributor network), market share and profits for all Ruhrpumpen products lines as well as Non-OEM products as defined in sales strategies.  This will be achieved with focus on sales of new/replacement/duplicate pumps, parts and parts contracts, field service/repair and optimization of the defined territory and assigned accounts. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• One Face One Customer:  Single Point of Contact Calling on customers in the territory on a regular basis to grow the business in all market segments, per the guidelines established.       

• Grow business in all market segments by calling on assigned customers on a regular basis.    

• Maintains active communications and relationships with respect to In-House personnel, utilizing all available team support to provide viable customer solutions.          

• Develop and maintain active relationships with buying influences and develop new relationships to maintain and grow customer / territory interactions. Responsible for all customer / territory interactions (single point contact).  

• Identify and Work with customers to understand and define individual needs (accomplish, fix or avoid), expand consequences for not acting and pay-off / benefits for applying suggested solutions, which impact customers metric.    

• Responsible for territory/customer forecast, budgets, and cost control via company approved systems, methods, and policies.           

• Represent all Ruhrpumpen products including non-OEM products as defined in sales strategies.          

• Partner with customers to understand project specifications and scope requirements to ensure proposals are generated to meet requirements.             

• Negotiate orders, including all technical, commercial, and legal terms and conditions to mutual satisfaction of all parties          

• Provide new pump opportunities to Inside Sale for quoting and specifications.     

• Travel to customer locations to ensure close and regular face to face contact per company guidelines.  Up to 50% travel.  

• Entertain customers during and outside normal business hours on regular bases.

• Participate in Team Selling efforts by passing on sales opportunities / leads generated during daily activities via CRM to Ruhrpumpen OE sales group as defined by commission policy and guidelines.            

• Responsible for all customer / territory communications and interactions through daily update in CRM and forecast which includes industry / market / account competitive analysis to support management strategy development.               

• Maintain all company tools in good working order.           

Qualifications and Skills

Ability to communicate ideas, concepts, solutions, customer pay-back at all levels of the customer’s organization at a high professional level.  Ability to manage a sales territory, develop and execute individual business plans. End User Sales Engineer will be responsible for all End User activity as the Single Point Contact, demonstrating One Face One Customer philosophy including, new pumps, duplicate & replacement pumps, parts, parts contracts, field service, repairs, retrofits, mechanical optimizations to existing equipment.  Identify the Engineering accounts the End User is currently using and communicate those accounts to the appropriate Contractor Sales Engineer for development. The End User Sales Engineer will be expected to size, select pumps and be able to produce New equipment proposals utilizing GPS / CRM and other systems to entire customer base.

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar experience preferred.

5 + years Pump Industry experience.
