The Global Corporate Manager – IT Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for creating, sustaining, implementing, and driving efficient and effective portfolio management processes in support of business objectives. This role will be partner with leaders and stakeholders from both IT and the business to ensure proper coordination and execution of activities related to the delivery of technology. Responsibilities include oversight of multiple projects within the overall global IT portfolio, including direction of the IT PMO organization’s support of projects from proposal origination to project closure; managing governance around Intake processes; including project escalations. This position requires strong relationship management skills and significant collaboration with cross-functional departments within the company to influence and resolve issues timely and effectively.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Principal Duties and Responsibilities: five to eight key responsibilities/activities for which the position is accountable :

  • Develop, manage and mentor IT Project Managers by providing clear direction to achieve goals, creating an environment that fosters team commitment and employee engagement.

  • Manage external project managers in the context of PMO and project delivery.

  • Ensure PMO managed projects are on-track by keeping apprised on project process, serving as an escalation point and removing obstacles.

  • Participates in the development of tools, standards and methodology i.e. project management templates and training material

  • Coordinate project management activities of Managed Service Providers

  • Develop and foster relationships with business partners, portfolio leaders, project managers, portfolio stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Support project intake process, vetting and prioritization processes within each portfolio, and across portfolios as needed.

  • Promote IT framework, governance, and processes.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization including senior leaders.

  • Make the complex seem less complex as a consensus builder and brings people and teams together. Is able to calm tense situations by bringing clarity and organization to the forefront.

  • Creates a work environment in which people are able to perform to the best of their abilities. Recognizes talent and maximizes potential in others.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: List minimum level of education, special training, certifications, or technical skills/experience required for this position.

  • 8 plus years combined IT experience in project, program and portfolio management.

  • Successfully managed large portfolios or programs with multiple business stakeholders.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization including managing through cross-business area or business unit prioritization discussions.

  • Experience in implementing and maintaining accurate key performance measures relating to PMO and project management best practices such as building work breakdown structures, Waterfall/Agile/Scrum methodologies, etc.; experience with traditional SDLC methodologies; experienced with developing overarching traditional schedules combined with Agile methodologies and toolsets.

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.

  • Experience with directly overseeing and implementing project and program management technology platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Changepoint, JIRA)

  • Highly developed abilities with executive presentations, listening, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Desired certifications; Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP).

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology,

Pay Range: $112,560.00 - $150,045.00
