Description We are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to join our team in the legal industry, based in Atlanta, Georgia. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity where you will be primarily responsible for providing customer service support within the Consumer Protection Division. Your responsibilities will focus on maintaining legal files and records, filing, indexing, and being able to adapt quickly to new systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service support within the Consumer Protection Division

• Handle legal documentation, file and index accurately

• Utilize legal knowledge to maintain and organize legal files

• Learn and adapt quickly to new systems, demonstrating an ability to pick up new tasks efficiently

• Display conscientiousness and dependability in fulfilling your role and responsibilities

• Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Carry out office duties that may involve lifting and moving items as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in legal filing procedures

• In-depth knowledge of legal terminologies and regulations

• Ability to lift and transport legal files as needed

• Experience in indexing for efficient data retrieval

• Familiarity with handling and managing legal files

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Proficient in using legal research software and tools

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Knowledge of confidentiality protocols in legal settings

• Bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies or related field is preferred

• Previous experience in a legal assistant role is an advantage

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
