Amentum seeks a Government Compliance Principal Financial Analyst responsible for performing high-level technical research, serving as a liaison between the DCAA and various internal departments, ensuring compliance with FAR, CAS and other applicable Government regulations, and developing well-written responses to Government requests based on situational facts and regulations. May be called upon to lead cross-departmental or team projects as needed as well as coordinate projects between groups to improve process efficiencies.
US Citizenship is required. This is a remote-telework role.
Principal Accountabilities:
Responsible for researching and subsequent development of company position on highly technical accounting, regulatory, and business system related issues.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as FAR, CAS and other Government regulations.
Assist in preparing incurred cost submissions, cost impacts resulting from accounting changes, and advance agreements, as appropriate.
Coordinate and support DCAA and DCMA audits and requests as well as the related responses that may involve multiple departments.
Provide assistance in implementing compliance programs, including developing policies and procedures regarding DCAA business system audits and allowability governance.
Assist Direct Management with supervision of direct reports, which may include providing input and recommendations regarding employee performance, addressing escalated issues, setting priorities, reviewing/approving/auditing work, and mentoring/developing staff.

Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and other Government regulations.
Advanced analytical skills with an ability to interpret regulations and legal cases and apply those concepts to a variety of situations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with a variety of levels and positions in the organization.
Ability to develop creative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to deliver all assigned work on schedule, meeting DCAA’s requests and deadlines and ensuring favorable rapport is maintained.
Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Excel, Word and Power Point.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree , major field of accounting or finance discipline preferred.
Six (6) or more years of relevant experience.
US Citizenship is required.
Demonstrated experience developing technical position papers.
Prior experience in a government finance/compliance position preferred.
Light Travel:
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on a limited basis.
