About the Role

The Bose Enterprise Technology S erver and Storage Architect role is a senior technical leadership position responsible for leading, redesigning, planning, and implementing the technology infrastructure to support the strategic objectives for server and storage platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to renovate Bose's server and storage ecosystems and processes to ensure scalability, reliability, and the security of the delivery of new and decommissioning of legacy capabilities . The Architect will play a key role in driving our IT architecture in this space, ensuring alignment with Bose's long-range vision, our evolving strategies and market needs in the server and storage domain.

In this role you will be responsible for defining and aligning technology solutions and roadmaps with key business objectives and KPIs. plan the delivery of new and decommissioning legacy capabilities.

Specific Responsibilities:

The Architect provides expert content and professional leadership on complex Technical Strategy, Architecture assignments, and projects to define the next generation architecture of the Storage/Server systems, lead new technology research, study market trends, be our customers interface and be the lead IT team in the Storage/Server space.

Required Competencies: Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Architecture but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. Recognized internally and externally as a subject matter expert in the Server and Storage Domain. Possess good documentation habits and skills. Capable of presenting in front of internal teams and senior leadership. Maintain current industry trends and future technology and market opportunities. This role is expected to mentor other Architects, Engineers, and Operations staff both one on one and through activities such as team Lunch and Learn.

About You

Experience Requirements: 10 years of experience in a Server and Storage or systems engineering role. 5 Years experience as a Server and Storage solution architect - consultation and recommendation experience, assessing a current environment and developing solutions. Experience migrating a storage environment from legacy to modernization. Strong experience Server design, Raid Arrays and Storage controllers and subsystems, and implementation in Enterprise class systems and Cloud infrastructure. Expert level experience with Microsoft solutions such as active Directory, Azure AD, O365, Azure App Proxy, Intune... Experience in the implementation of x86 based designs as well as knowledge in Ethernet, C, SCSI, NVMe, SAS and PCIe protocols. Experience with data lifecycle including data architectures, data storage, system integrations, system maintenance, system migrations, data transfers, and data archival. Ability to perform storage data analytics, reporting, and visualization. Experience delivering highly available and scalable solutions, understanding of different HA and DR techniques. Designed and implemented innovative solutions that enable productivity and seamless collaboration on a global scale.

Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
