Your New Role

This position will serve as an Analyst on Discovery’s U.S. Benefits team, reporting to the Director, Benefits and will be part of Discovery’s Global Total Rewards team. The Analyst possesses strong operational experience to support the development, administration, delivery and communication of U.S. Health & Welfare and Retirement plans, policies and programs

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Support the planning, implementation, and ongoing administration of US employee health plans and programs, collaborating with internal and external partners including – Finance, Legal, P&C Technology and Operations, P&C Managers and outsourced administrators, consultants, and insurers. Play a key role in annual benefits open enrollment, including planning, system set up and testing, and employee communications.

  • Analyze and evaluate data and program trends, using findings to make recommendations for program and process improvements.

  • Oversight and ongoing relationship management of contracted benefit plan administrators, insurers, and service providers – including active collaboration to identify issues and timely resolutions, engagement in contracting processes, data file interfaces, invoicing/payment processes, and partnership on plan/program communications.

  • Handle escalated benefit inquiries from employees, P&C Partners, and external partners, with a focus on providing thorough and timely responses/resolution.

  • Serve as a project manager on Affordable Care Act compliance and as needed on Benefits projects. This may include creating and coordinating project plans and associated workstreams, as well as supporting communications and reporting/analytics to ensure projects are executed on time, on budget and in scope.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-4 years’ experience administering benefit programs in a corporate setting or with a benefits consulting firm

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform independent analysis and demonstrated skill in making data-informed recommendations.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel or specialized reporting software is often required to process and analyze large volumes of data.

  • A solid understanding of employee benefits programs, including health insurance offerings

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for conveying complex information to stakeholders, including HR teams, management, and regulatory authorities.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with excellent attention to detail.

  • A problem solver who is proactive and operates with a sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain and develop processes and operating practices that minimize risk and drive efficiency.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, collaborating to support excellence in benefit administration.

  • Demonstrated desire to stay current on benefit program trends – leverages this knowledge to supports Benefits Managers and Director in developing recommendations relating to benefit strategy and design.

  • Knowledge of government regulations impacting benefit plans and programs, with experience in working with Benefits leadership and Legal resources to ensure compliance.

  • 3 days on site in local office

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,797.00 - $116,624.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
