Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Athens, Alabama
Job Title: Industrial EngineerJob Description
As an Industrial Engineer, your main responsibilities will involve applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. You will investigate and solve problems related to tooling, equipment, and processes, as well as analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Your role will also involve designing the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency, developing, recommending, and implementing changes to improve manufacturing processes and product quality. You will assist in the development of capital and expense budgets and evaluate new products, making recommendations relative to manufacturing feasibility. Training department personnel in safety, setup, operations, and troubleshooting of existing and new equipment will also be part of your role. You may also specialize in skills such as PLC programming, welding, automation, vision system, etc. In addition, you will have the authority to initiate action to prevent a violation of the company's Integrity Policy. All employees are expected to abide by the plant’s safety policy, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established, and work toward achieving established objectives and targets.

Work Environment
You will be working in an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier Work Environment, specifically in a manufacturing facility within the oils department.
