DSI is hiring for Hospital Security Officers in Athens, AL! Come join a diverse and inclusive team that believes in providing excellent customer service and knows that its biggest asset is its employees.
Healthcare security officers must attend a 1 month training academy travelling daily to Huntsville AL. The training includes pepper spray, taser and physical fitness test. All must past an initial physical fitness test in order to qualify for the Healthcare Officer Academy.
Once day shift training is complete our officers will then be assigned to our available shifts of Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday 6a-6p or 6p-6a.
Job Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general security duties to our clients. You will promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards. You will need to understand and comply with DSI and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions. You will participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures, as well as DSI’s safety manual. You will be interacting with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills. You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements.
Pre-employment requirement is to have a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license is required. You must have reliable means of transportation and means of communication. You must pass all required background and drug screenings.
$15.00 - $17.75 / hour
