Job Summary: We are looking for a Manufacturing Quality Technician to join our Manufacturing Quality Engineering team, based in Arden Hills, MN. Reporting to the Quality Manager. The Manufacturing Quality Technician will provide support of all Thermal product at Colder Products Company (CPC). This position will lead or participate in activities to improve the quality of product/ service. The Quality Technician will partner with a Quality Engineer to lead and manage product non-conformances. This is a key, high-visibility role that will initially help support capacity, product, and process improvements within the Thermal business unit while also driving efficiencies in the Quality team and improve customer satisfaction with CPC's products. Essential Job Responsibilities: Support Thermal efforts in Quality. Lead, train, and manage sort, rework, and various actions through component / product dispositions. Manage and maintain organization of quarantined material. Respond quickly and efficiently to production non-conformances, drive initial testing/evaluation and coordinate communication with the Quality Engineer, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering. Provides direct technical responses to manufacturing issues. Perform product testing to understand product performance deficiencies. Implement corrective actions to address product or service deficiencies. Works with Quality Engineer(s), Production, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure robust investigations and corrective actions. Operates within CPC Quality and inventory management systems (Oracle). Active participant in Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence projects. Keeps current in the field with internal and external education and training. Acts as QA liaison in cross-functional projects and CPC representative to suppliers/customers. Adheres to all safety regulations. Demonstrates support of Colder core values. Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs. Required Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes Good technical communication skills with multiple engineering disciplines Self-driven and able to work with limited supervision. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to self-prioritize and multitask in support of engineering/manufacturing projects Preferred Job Qualifications: Two-year degree or certification in a technical discipline. Experience with metal machining and/or plastic injection molding processes. Experience with medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. Experience with inspection methods, tools, and practices. ERP software experience. ASQ participation and certification. Detailed knowledge of CPC parts or equivalent. Working knowledge of MS Office; Word, Excel, & Power Point Travel Requirements: Up to 10% Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, sitting is regularly required; use of hands and fingers, and talk or hear. Reaching is frequently required to with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and/or stoop.
