Position Description Anoka County Community Social Services and Behavioral Health has a current opening for a part-time Associate Social Worker. Associate Social Workers work closely with case managers to provide quality service to our clients and will be part of the interdisciplinary team. This position requires candidates who are detail-oriented and possess strong communication skills. Interviews will take place the week of June 24th, 2024 for those selected to move forward in the hiring process. Pay & Benefits Salary: $60,819.20 to $72,966.40 ($29.24 to $35.08 per hour). 2024 Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 32. $60,819.20 to $85,113.60 ($29.24 to $40.92 per hour). 24 days of paid flexible time off and up to 12.5 paid holidays, pro-rated based on part-time status. Work Location This position will work at Anoka County Government Center, located at 2100 3rd Ave, Anoka, MN 55303. This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work, with some days working remotely and some days working in the office. This position will work in the community as needed, in client homes and transporting clients. Expected work hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Job Duties and Responsibilities These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka County Associate Social Worker. Assist clients in the community in pursuing their recovery goals. Provide instruction, modeling, and feedback in the area of supportive living skills. Lead by example with coping strategies that have been helpful in their own recovery. Provide paraprofessional support, such as transcribing and submitting client reports. Provide direct services to clients with diverse issues including mental illness, chemical dependency, domestic violence, criminal involvement, developmental disabilities, and homelessness. Balance administrative and direct services responsibilities by prioritizing assignments from social workers and supervisor. May be required to attend court hearings and meet with clients to complete related paperwork. Assist clients and case managers in completing medical assistance applications and related financial paperwork. Access financial services information through state databases. Complete case notes. Maintain case files and records. Participate in support planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Respond to crisis situations to ensure safety and well-being of children and vulnerable adults. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum Knowledge, S ills, and Abilities Needed Bachelor's degree in social work or a closely related field. In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Valid driver's license and vehicle available for business use. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed One year or more (2,080 annual hours) of job-related experience of job-related experience working with persons with serious and persistent mental illness. Experience working with Minnesota Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), Medical Assistance (MA), Social Services Information System (SSIS), MnCHOICES assessment, OnBase electronic filing system, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working within SSIS database. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Skilled in problem-solving, critical thinking and effective time management. Physical Demands and Work Conditions Standard office environment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds Assignments are sedentary, occasionally alternating between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs. Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment Travel within the community as needed.
