As the Marketing Coordinator you will work on the central campus of the University of Michigan, at the William L. Clements Library. The library houses original resources for the study of American history and culture from the fifteenth to the early twentieth century. As the Marketing Coordinator you will manage the Clements digital presence; develop and implement marketing and communication strategies; and provide organizational support for the Clements Library events. You will report to the Director of Development.
This position will be hybrid in nature with the expectation that you will be on campus 3 days per week.

Responsibilities*
Maintain the library website, including updates and content creation for hours, events, exhibits, fellowships, blog, and adoption program.
Collaborate on webpage layouts and special projects.
Communicate with vendors for troubleshooting and content/template development.
Manage social media content calendar and preparation of postings in collaboration with staff.
Administer social media platforms, update visuals, monitor interactions, and analyze trends for audience growth.
Design and produce various marketing materials (print and digital).
Write, edit, and distribute press releases and manage press relations.
Create the monthly e-newsletter and event-related communications.
Contribute to the bi-annual magazine's layout and coordination.
Evaluate marketing activities and provide recommendations
Support and staff library events, including coordination of virtual events.
Conduct tours and educational sessions for visitors and groups.
Engage with the Development and Communications Committee.
Manage and distribute lecture and event content via YouTube.
Manage volunteer and work-study projects.
Participate in library and campus meetings.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree
1 or more years of experience working in communications, marketing and social media in a professional setting
Demonstrated experience in web content creation and management using WordPress
Demonstrated experience with e-newsletter creation and management, using tools such as Constant Contact or Mail Chimp
Fluency with Google, Microsoft Suite
Design and layout skills
Demonstrated storytelling and writing skills
