Purpose:

As the Impact Studio Program Specialist, you will plan and implement Impact Studio programming and operations. You will engage multiple members at Michigan Ross and University of Michigan, along with alumni and external partners. You'll also provide support on other Business+Impact social innovation and entrepreneurship programming. You will report directly to the Managing Director of Business+Impact.

Responsibilities*

  • Programming Support and Coordination (60%)

  • Plan all aspects of the delivery of student programing within the Impact Studio, including the Founders & Fellows program, coaching sessions, pilot programs, workshops, and events

  • Collaborate with staff and faculty to design program materials, plan logistics, deliver sessions, and track outcomes.

  • Participate in organizational meetings with faculty and staff to contribute to the design and operational aspects of the studio.

  • Manage outreach efforts, application procedures, and the acceptance process, while providing information and responding to inquiries.

  • Be a primary contact for studio programming, events, calendar, inbox, and prototyping funding, advising students regarding policies and procedures.

  • Collect feedback on studio programs and use data analysis to make recommendations for program improvement.

  • Ensure the studio space is activated and maintain a welcoming , hospitable, and interactive environment.

  • Manage the physical and employee needs for studio space, including recruiting and overseeing student employees, and maintaining resources, equipment, and materials.

  • Assist in supervising temporary staff.

  • Engagement & Communications Support (40%)

  • Foster an environment of inclusion and belonging within the studio space and community.

  • Collaborate and maintain key relationships with other Ross and University departments, units, student clubs, and external partners to promote strategic goals.

  • Guide communication between program students, prospective program students, and prospective Ross/UM students, and applicable Ross and relevant University departments.

  • Represent and promote the program by conducting presentations at campus events, student clubs, and community activities.

  • Prepare, update, and distribute marketing and program materials, communications, websites, newsletters, and presentations.

  • Curate compelling social impact content and images for email communication, newsletters, website, and social media channels. ? Provide administrative support including competitive research, proofreading and editing, design.

  • Manage database of students, campus contacts, partner organizations, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

  • Must have full-cycle program, project, or event management experience.

  • Experience establishing relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Experienced in public speaking and delivering presentations to mixed audiences.

Additional Information

The general posting range for this position is $60,000 - $67,000. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor agreement and transparency throughout the recruiting process. Selected candidates whose start date is after April 1st will be eligible for the annual salary program in September 2025, if offered.
